Pianist Leon Greening's hard swinging style has made him a favourite on the jazz scene for over a decade, and he makes no apologies for his adoration of the great bebop pianists, with Wynton Kelly, Bobby Timmons and Bud Powell among his primary influences. Award winning bassist Adam King is new to the scene but has already made his mark, receiving high praise for a live concert with Julian Joseph 's trio on BBC Radio 3, and having worked with Pete King, the late Stan Tracey and Gilad Atzmon, among others. Drummer Steve Brown will need no introduction, being in Scott Hamilton's Quartet, and regularly seen alongside Alan Barnes, Dave Newton and Barry Harris. Together they'll be playing arrangements from their latest CD, "Cookin' in Brooklyn".

Ofer Landesberg Trio

Ofer Landesberg, guitar | Dario di Lecce, double bass | Matt Fishwick, drums

Ofer Landesberg

Support tonight comes from New York guitarist Ofer Landesberg, who moved from Israel to NYC at the age of 17 to study with bebop pioneer and pianist/teacher Barry Harris. Now resident in Europe, we're lucky to have this highly talented and unusual performer lead his trio for a set, featuring Italian double bassist Dario di Lecce.
