Our salsa band is 100% live - no backing tracks - check with other bands for this feature when comparing prices.

Our salsa band's repertoire consists of modern salsa and timba, Nuyorican mambo, authentic cha-cha-chá, son, guaracha and Latin jazz, spiced up when needed with more relaxed boléros. Have a look at our Salsa Band song list.

Our 9-piece band consists of Latin American lead vocalist, trumpet, trombone, saxophone/flute, three Latin percussionists (congas, bongos & timbales), piano and double bass plus - when required - one or two salsa dance teachers who can give exhibition dances, demonstrate steps, and help to get your guests onto the dance floor to contribute to the success of your event.

Another option which some wedding couples have chosen is to have one of our dancers choreograph their first dance. This is always stunning and memorable, and you and your guests will never forget it!

We are taking great care in our arrangements to use the best Cuban, Colombian, Puerto

Rican and New York sources to choose not just exciting dance music, but strong compositions that have stood the test of time. Our lead singers are native born Spanish speakers from Cuba, Venezuela & Colombia, and all of our percussionists have studied extensively in Cuba and other Latin American countries.

The personnel of the band includes some of the musicians we use in our Live Jazz Bands and our smaller Latin band Cafecito. If you're thinking that you would also like to have background music at your event - perhaps to welcome your guests - we can also provide that.

For Latin American themed evenings we work closely with one of the top Latin American dance companies in the UK, Oi Brasil Shows. We can provide you with anything from one dancer to a whole spectacular show with 16 dancers, and dance styles varying from folkloristic to full Tropicana.

Cafecito - live Cuban style band

We have had so many requests for "more laid-back Latin music" that we formed a new band! (NB Cafecito is the band playing the music for the latest Aviva television ads featuring Paul Whitehouse at Latin dance classes.)

Cafecito plays a lively pre-salsa style of music as still heard on the streets of old Havana today. It is ideal for any occasion including

The line-up features flute; piano; double bass; 3 latin percussionsts playing bongos, congas & timbales; vocal coro (backing vocals) sung by members of the band. The band can be augmented with a 3 piece string section & by a Cuban vocalist
